In short: I think few frogs would support the "State" aspects of early 20thC fascism, but those inspired by Nietzsche were only real answer to the catastrophe of "modern ideas" and modern dysgenics; everything in "life of mind" after 1945 is astroturd attempt to obfuscate that
Modern egalitarianism (of whatever kind, communist, liberal, "classical liberal") was able to put off totalitarian leveling only because struggle for supremacy with other forms. Once Soviet Union ends, Western democracy and "Deep State" begins to show its secret intentions

The Left is more honest with itself: modern egalitarianism can only be preserved by "reinterpreting" (in fact obliterating/editing) ancient history, erasing architecture and smashing statues, and ultimately erasing biology (not just ethnic, but e.g., forbidding nonobesity)

I remember when I first started to read Mishima and gave copy to my TruCon friend he called me "worse than a Nazi." (At time though this was considered "cute" and harmless...)

Short list of those who rejected Nazism "from the right": Evola, Ernst von Salomon, Stefan George, Celine, d'Annunzio, Mishima...others...every one would be rejected as fascist demon by even conservatives today. There's no world in which rejection of egalitarianism is "nice"

Nutcase reaction to Trump's proposal to make classical style mandatory for fed buildings well known now, but is nothing new. Since after WW2 authorities in West desperate to reinterpret (suppress) Greco-Roman antiquity because of suspicion uncanny old instincts reawaken...
OK short thred on this latest example of how and why the classics racket in America has been an almost 100% kosher operation

Nerdoids whose identity and career built around Party lines indignantly go into action... Donna Zuckerface most obvious, but others have been sent on Twatter to EDUCATE us Greks, Romans (even Vikings!) were really progressive polyamorists, socialists, or libertarians

The conservative response to this is well meaning (maybe) but ineffective, here's an example: thefederalist.com/2020/02/13… is false because many features of classical "regimes," and especially the aristocratic ones trad conservatives think they support, would be called fascist today

Slavery, end of political participation for roasties (absolute requirement would make all such govts. taboo now...), suppression and social/political exclusion of fractious minorities, govt/religious control over who has what chilluns, and much more!...can conservatives suBBort?

Whether "totalitarian" parts of Fascism are attractive is irrelevant; Mussolini much better reader of Plato than any conservative "political philosopher." Those who rejected Fascism or Nazism because democratic/"collectivist" would be called demonic today by conservatives as well
