At least this journo does try to sneak in some nice things about my book and recognizes its POWER and mystery...it's possible the editor forced him to tie me to "violence" as condition of writing about me (I heard editors at WaPo tried same on a friendly journalist)

Now the New Republic is latest among corporate propaganda outlets to attack me. Even this writer has to concede my superior "artfulness," but otherwise only LIES and tries implicitly to tie me to violence, which I have repeatedly denounced. newrepublic.com/article/1552…

In some sense all publicity is good but in another I'm not sure it helps me to be constantly smeared like this, even if the journalist is being forced to do it. We're going to get this photo on CNN though, one way or another...

They're surely mad, but Europe in general isn't as RABID and vulgar (in the literal sense) as the errand boys writing for American journalism. There isn't even any more international journalism in USA, they rely on AFP now I think
