Taubes claims that carbs and sugar only are the sole cause of the obesity epidemic. He says physical exercise and calorie intake have no effect on this. That's crazy, and Guyenet rightly points this out. But it's not interesting to debate this dumb point.

Both Taubes and Guyenet agree a low carb diet can probably help someone who's obese, so what's the point of this conversation...

People report good effects on the archevore diet, I've poasted it before. That said, I think strategic use of carbs and sugars especially (and ice cream) has been made by #frogtwitter. Ray Peat is the guide in that case.
