it's not me allowing them or not, it's that everyone allowed them to do so under the label "fiscal conservative" so now that's discredited. No one believes it anymore, even if it's the right thing. Peter Schiff, a libertarian, has made this point too

Want to know how China took over rare earth metals? @SenFeinstein abused her Desert Protection Act to close down America's most profitable Mountain Pass mine in the Mojave in 2002 Her husband Blum was exclusive importer of rare earth metals from China

Some misunderstood this tweet. I meant specifically what one's motivations are: if you're writing or painting something to impress/gain approval of modern intellectuals (of any kind), it will 99.9% be shit
One of biggest mistake any writer or artist makes is to "address" in any way "debates," concerns or ideas of intellectuals in his time, or who he happens to be around. It's a big reason for much of sterility of almost all the arts since around 1950

who's defending Obama? He was another wanker; but USA got him because of Bush, and Bush-type conservatism is still discredited for now

Obama was worse than Bush yes ...you're missing the point...America got Obama because of Bush. Trump trying to correct problem. "How do you pay for it" conservatism has been discredited by the Bushites and the GOPe though

Bush didn't have to inflate a housing bubble after that. He didn't have to lie the USA into a war in Iraq. Not defending Clinton, who was horrible and himself pillaged, but see my thread. This is a bipartisan thing. Only Trump stood up to it...

Unfortunately conservatives lost the "how do you pay for it" argument a long time ago. George W outspent every previous president with a GOP congress. Trillions wasted on wars and welfare for corporations that outsourced jobs. Then TARP to bail out financial criminals
‘Like’ you know, ‘Like’ the economy is..., ‘Like’ uh huh, ‘Like’ Socialism is [giggle] the people’s voting rights...uh huh, ‘Like’ free tuition and stuff for everyone... But how do you propose to pay this, Ms Ocasio-Cortez? ‘Like’ you know, gag me with the spoon...Uh huh. 🤔🤪

Whatever the merits of free-market conservatism in the abstract, the behavior of GOP 2000-2009 has discredited that view for at least a generation. You can't blame Obama/Ocasio for demanding at least equal $$$ be spent on THEIR handouts.

Trump as avatar of middle classes is last bulwark against the rapaciousness of both sides of the establishment. If there's to be public spending, let it be on infrastructure and on programs to improve living standard of taxpayers/workers

Imagine that, when you give powerful individuals freedom from scrutiny and accountability because of their ethnic group and when they are furthermore raised to view the majority with fear and suspicion, they tend to abuse their power....

The same Johnny Chung involved in the Loral Clinton bribery with Bernie Schwartz was also behind the deal to hand over the Long Beach port to the Chinese, as part of a company COSCO in which Feinstein's husband had a major stake taiwandc.org/twcom/75-no2.ht…

You could say the "Clinton Standard" is the DOJ/FBI/Fedgov standard: even when evidence is overwhelming they used fake info to spy on opposition presidential campaign, laundered foreign intel to do so, and talked about it with texts and emails, it's still "not evidence"
