I think beans are generally quite bad and lead to wild bacterial overgrowth in intestines, followed by endotoxin and excess estrogen poisoning

no and I never said avoid carbs...you can get carbs in form different from starches

There are two different threds: in this one I suspect that starches can be cause of many problems. If you tolerate them well, then no problem. In the other thred the archevore diet recommends getting starches from stuff like tubers, roots, plantain, potatoes, etc.

But if you eat even good starches and notice serious problems from eating them, or relief from problems when you cut them, then you can still get carbs from fruit, honey, etc.; carrots have no starch

I think this diet overall is better. It's also consistent with many things Ray Peat says. He recommends the use of fruit and a little sugar in coffee, not making it a staple

Ray Peat on the power of caffeine and coffee: raypeat.com/articles/article… Including some reflections on current definitions of drugs vs. nutrients. Is coffee an "essential nutrient"?

Coffee drinkers have much lower incidence of suicide. Why? very interdasting... Coffee acts in body in ways similar to thyroid and progesterone...it has a protective effect on body organs and structure/energy

I had some today as a luxury but I believe they're very bad. Poasted on them before, they encourage out-of-control bacterial overgrowth

You mean treatments of people or of the food supply. This is interesting. People aren't aware of magnitude of this problem

Populations of developed world are unhealthy, plagued by a number of disorders, allergies, other maladies, some subclinical. Dysbiosis is being studied right now, but gut flora poorly understood. Mycotoxins different, very dangerous. Infection of food supply not widely known

Yes in fact Peat recommends e.g. frying masa harina chips in coconut oil, or doing the same with plantain chips (now available commercially) I had less a bad reaction to that

I'm a fan of the cheaper cuts because slow-cooked they have more flavor. You can make great roast or stews with simple ingredients like water, salt, garlic, some thyme, cheap wine or vinegar
