Purely "ethnic" explanation very hard as a) north Italy very much affected, south Italy not; b) NYC affected but is mostly minorities and USA Italians are South-Italian descent, not North; c) Argentina where most Italians are North descent, not affected...

In France, the highly developed northeast, Strasbourg etc. is epicenter of plague while Marseille (because of HC*Q doc efforts?? or...) much less affected In USA strange outbreaks in inland cities of the South
