Idea for NGO: look into stats/collect on ground stats info RE number of missing girls in Ukraine after Liberal World Order Color Revolution (TM) of 2014
Now why would the Emirates be interested in low-oversight travel from Ukrainian ports. Let's put on our thinking caps.

I came to Joker for the nihilism, but all it offers is a weepy story asking mo money fo dem programs. There's no nihilism; the Joker believes all the things a leftist social worker would about his "Mental Illness"; no understanding by writers, no sense of enticing obsession etc.

Amazing such pedestrian trash gets so much attention; I saw it tonight in a turd world country and it was PACKED (on Monday night). I could have made this movie so much better...they should have at least hired Polanski to do it.

Example of movies that do better job showing madness/nihilism and drawing you into it: The Tenant; Repulsion; Nightcrawler; Vertigo; Aguirre ...not this one...you want to see CRAZY? You want nihilism? I'll make movie for you

Moral relativism? Does anyone who interacts with the left think there's any kind of moral relativism about them? They're moral fanatics, driven by a religious fervor. Allan Bloom led the right into a dead end with his nonsense about "moral relativism"
Why Liberal Media Hate ‘The Joker’ Woke critics worry about the film’s sympathetic depiction of a mass murderer, but their real beef is with its indictment of moral relativism. So sez @johnddavidson thefederalist.com/2019/10/05…

Reminder that Chris Hitchens supported the Iraq War because of his ties to the international left and the ETA-analogue PKK among the Kurds. I wonder how much American Derp State support for Kurds comes from these very old sympathies. John Birch Society was right...
Neocons and commies united in support of Syria's Kurds

yes but they're not compelling; it's an outsider's take and worse, a pedestrian outsider's take...a real movie would draw you in to the madness, see Repulsion, the Tenant, Nightcrawler, Vertigo, etc.

Disagree with your analysis of problem and of condition in America as well as of what motivates the various factions. Even so, that's not what the movie shows, and I'm not judging it purely as a political statement; the treatment of "mental illness" was pedantic

What movie did you see? In this movie the Joker would have been pacified with halfway house funding, meds, and some gril holding his hand. He himself says this more than once

Biggest failure of Joker: you don't get inner experience of a "madman," which would be attractive/contagious. There's no inner understanding of it, not even a psychoanalyst's external understanding, but that of a leftist SOCIAL WORKER, which they make the Joker himself share
Replying to @bronzeagemantis
The attitude in particular RE "mental illness" in Joker was that of a social worker, not of an artist trying to get inside mind of such man. Real depiction would make madness infectious, but this movie has the Joker HIMSELF take an outsider's position to his own "condition"

Joker was a MISSED OPPORTUNITY! These people have no sense of divine madness.

he doesn't leave them behind though, the funding gets cut; they beat this over the head again and again. They never make an effort to show inside him, what drives him, to drive the audience to the same madness. It's a pity story and it doesn't work

was his climax speech also imaginary? Because this is his main point in that speech

I don't see this, what means? The movie is essentially propaganda for halfway house funding, the joker himself literally makes the argument that if he'd had that he wouldn't have done what he did. It's a degraded movie

The whole de Niro subplot was silly, a wink to well-known movie "King of Comedy" that Joker borrows so much from...it's all so self-referential and "allusive," disgusts me to think of the pretentious writers. Movie totally fails on its own

I thought one cool piece was with the joker killing deniro (comic book films killing old Hollywood of deniro movies)

It's a Hollyweird "socially conscious" SOP story! If only the Joker had halfway house funding, meds, and some affection from stingy "relationship," he'd be OK! It's an argument he makes himself more than once. Not believable man motivated by such things capable of any great evil.

This movie is a lie promoted by partisans of the medical establishment; its purpose is likely to agitate for funding for mental hospitals and hospices (the absurd "mother" subplot). It's part of an op carried out at multiple levels right now in American society

I understand why journalists have a problem with the Joker...and I wanted to like it because they hate it. Reason they hate it: depiction of Thomas Wayne as left-oligarch is unflattering, and reminds them of themselves (or their aspirations) and especially of their donors

This movie is the Andrew Yang/Michael Moore wing against the Kamala Harris wing. Harris wants to bring the security state down on "white incels." Yang condescendingly "pities" "poor whites" and wants to put them on reservations/inside facilities. They can both go to hell
