I think in general low carb is a good suggestion. The diet itself though is pretty flexible just from the 12 points. WIthout Harris' own words and his explanations I can't take your objection ...I think archevore sounds like a very good diet

I think starches are MORE dangerous than sugars. Cut refined starches at least: all breads, pasta, white rice, most potatoes, etc. and see how you react and if there's improvement. Experiment with tubers/resistant starches and see if it helps or not

turkey is high in tryptophan I suggest you add marrow or something to the stek or eat a fattier cut like brisket or chuck roast slow-cooked; turkey very lean as well btw; I'd add some offal as well

the diet I linked to isn't ketogenic and I wouldn't even call it low-carb though. It tells people to eat tubers, vegetables, etc. ...I think the reservations you mention are already included in the "2.0" diet I linked

Those who doubt this don't know the difficulty scientists (not to speak of self-interested medical/pharma researchers) have in culturing organisms even with state-of-the-art lab environment. There are many KNOWN organisms that they can't easily/reliably culture

To see the truth of this you must research aflatoxin, ochratoxin and a few others and see just how deeply the food supply of certain countries and regions is infected. This is result of central food production. I think there are also other mycotoxins we don't know about yet

6. If you DO eat starches eat mostly roots/tubers/plantains which are safer, have antimicrobial properties and in general the resistant starch will promote the growth of beneficial bacteria. Green banana flour or cooked and cooled potatoes are another source of this
